This season, it seems designers are trying to make up for all the bad weather ahead of us or perhaps trying to take our minds away from all the bad crazy that’s been going on around the world. Whatever the raison d’être, we have quite an intensely colored, extravagant, floral, sparkly fashion season upon us. There are so many leading trends of the moment that it seems this season begins with a past years’ graduates’ reunion as it’s “all in” and “none out” for the cold weather fashion trends.
One of my favorite brands when it comes to elegance preserving the touch of originality is Ted Lapidus. Their selection surprises me every season as I never go out of their boutique empty-handed. If you’re having one of those very lady-like days, yet you’re not keen on looking as if you’re headed for a Buckingham Palace dinner, then I suggest you check this brand out. I, myself like elegance. As Chanel said, it never goes out of style. Elegance has modesty as one of its main components and modesty always arouses seduction (and that’s what we’re all secretly after, right?). Still I avoid conservatism at all costs.
Let’s talk about that moment when winter is coming but you just don’t want to admit it so you don’t resort to your warmer clothes. Instead you try to cover yourself up as much as possible with your summer ones. That’s what I did today. For a while longer we will all walk around half-naked trying to maintain that summer state of mind while trembling with cold and borrowing jackets from our male friends who seem to be more into accepting the unavoidable.
Blue says “hire me”
Navy blue is considered one of the best colours to wear on a job interview. According to a Career Builder survey of 2,099 hiring managers, interviewees wearing blue were considered team players. The colour symbolizes relaxation, loyalty, confidence and control.
Two hits of the 2017 summer season: the bodysuit and the high waist palazzo pants. They are the perfect combination for that “hourglass shape” figure you’ve been aiming for.
What are you willing to do for the sake of fashion? How far are you willing to go? How much are you willing to show? The 90s style that’s back in business today says you’re going to reveal your underwear. Too vulgar? Are you sure?
I did not want to kiss you goodbye-that was the trouble, I wanted to kiss you goodnight. And there is a lot of difference. Ernest Hemingway
Since my Italy story appealed to you so much, I decided to stick to the topic. Basically, the day following my arrival, Alina took me to the showroom. I must admit I was a bit anxious as I did not know what I was going to see there and I could never in a thousand lives put on an outfit that is not in tune with my soul.
When it comes to 2017 jewelry trends, too much is not enough. “Life’s too short to wear boring jewelry” is a statement particularly true of spring/summer 2017. It’s all big and crazy and futuristic in the jewelry section this season. Wanna keep the pace? Then I assure you, people Will definitely stare so make it worth their while. So, let’s start listing those crazy ideas and I tell you, it would be a sin not to put them into practice, because they’re simply gorgeous:
“Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking.” Miranda Priestley’s famed catty retort from The Devil Wears Prada may have some essence to it but designers beg to differ.
